What do I have to do to get the software? I only have to sign up for the newsletter? and what about the blog alarm, how does it work, you know I am a new blogger and I want to learn about everything. thank you very much for your help.

Hi…
All you have to do to get the software is sign up for the mailing list.. that’s it! =) The Blog Alarm software will be available to you on a download page that you’ll get a link to once you confirm your email address. Just download and install… that’s all there is to it.
Once you’ve installed it, all you do is enter the URL for your favorite blog or website… ie: http://www.pawprintssoftware.com/blog
You have the ability to set the time interval you want to check, like every 15 minutes or every hour… if there are no changes, it will just tell you all is good… but if something has changed, like a new post or a comment to a post you’ve done, the icon on your tray will give you a notice so you can respond right away.
Any time there is a change to the content on the URL, you’ll get a notice… that’s it. Pretty simple, huh?
Since you’re new to blogging, make sure to create profiles on all of the bookmarking and social networking sites, like FaceBook, Twitter, Delicious, etc… then to to http://www.socialmarker.com and submit your blog post to all of the services where you’ve created profiles. This is a really powerful tool to get your blog posts indexed on sites other than your own, giving you automatic back links.
